Take the course from your desk

Due to the uncertain financial situation in which schools currently find themselves, MPAAA is offering its Pupil Accounting Bootcamp series of trainings as virtual sessions this summer AT NO COST to all current members of the Michigan Pupil Accounting and Attendance Association. Members can gain a valuable understanding of the current requirements of Pupil Accounting as well as work towards their Certification program.

Description & Overview

This will be a virtual session to be held from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm on Friday, July 31, 2020.

Your presenter for this session will be Rob Dickinson, MPAAA Executive Director who will be explaining the days and hours requirements, and how to make sure your buildings meet them (and what it will cost if they don't!).

The following is the course description provided by MSBO - What counts? How do you handle passing time? How do you calculate hours? This session is both nuts and bolts of the basics of Days and Hours and includes an opportunity for auditors and district staff to hear how ‘the other half lives”. An overview of current requirements as they relate to the school district calendars is also included.

This is one of the required courses for those pursuing an MSBO certification as a Pupil Accounting Specialist or Pupil Accounting Auditor.

Cost Information

There will be no cost for this session, but before you can sign up, you must have your 2020-2021 membership dues paid.  You can register online by pressing the register button below.  If you need to pay your membership dues, you can do that online with a credit card, or if a credit card isn't available to you, you can print out the membership form HERE and mail it in with a check.

An electronic invitation to join the webinar will be emailed to all registered attendees approximately one week before the session.
