Due to the uncertain financial situation in which schools currently find themselves, MPAAA is offering its Pupil Accounting Bootcamp series of trainings as virtual sessions this summer AT NO COST to all current members of the Michigan Pupil Accounting and Attendance Association. Members can gain a valuable understanding of the current requirements of Pupil Accounting as well as work towards their Certification program.

Description & Overview

This will be a virtual session to be held from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm on Thursday, July 23, 2020.

Pupil Accounting Basics - Barbette Lane, Wexford-Missaukee ISD & Kristina Tokar, Lansing Public Schools

Your presenters will be taking you through the basics of Pupil Accounting, from learning the terms and acronyms, through working with the three populations, to all the forms to use and the documents to gather.

The following is the course description provided by MSBO - The second in the Introduction to Pupil Accounting series delves into the specific enrollment and membership requirements and how a variety of programs are addressed in the Pupil Accounting Manual. This session provides participants with tips and a template of how to organize their pupil accounting materials. Pre-requisite: Introduction to Pupil Accounting I.

This is one of the required courses for those pursuing an MSBO certification as a Pupil Accounting Specialist.
