Due to the uncertain financial situation in which schools currently find themselves, MPAAA is offering its Pupil Accounting Bootcamp series of trainings as virtual sessions this summer AT NO COST to all current members of the Michigan Pupil Accounting and Attendance Association. Members can gain a valuable understanding of the current requirements of Pupil Accounting as well as work towards their Certification program.

Description & Overview

This will be a virtual session to be held from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm on Tuesday, July 21, 2020.

Pupil Accounting Basics - Kristina Tokar, Lansing Public Schools & Barbette Lane, Wexford-Missaukee ISD

Your presenters will be taking you through the basics of Pupil Accounting, from learning the terms and acronyms, through working with the three populations, to all the forms to use and the documents to gather.

The following is the course description provided by MSBO - Pupil Accounting I introduces staff new to pupil accounting to the Pupil Accounting Manual (PAM) and requirements related to count days. Included is a review of timelines, enrollment requirements and information about the three student populations as defined by the PAM.

This is one of the required courses for those pursuing an MSBO certification as a Pupil Accounting Specialist, Pupil Accounting Auditor, or Specialist in Educational Data.

Cost Information

There will be no cost for this session, but before you can sign up, you must have your 2020-2021 membership dues paid.  You can register online by pressing the register button below.  If you need to pay your membership dues, you can do that online with a credit card, or if a credit card isn't available to you, you can print out the membership form HERE and mail it in with a check.
